The
Young Eight is a Washington
State 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization of young African American
string players from various music schools and conservatories across the
country. The Young Eight is dedicated to exposing and educating
different communities to classical music and stringed instruments.
A
vast majority of the concerts and educational outreach projects The
Young Eight present are free and open to the public. In order to organize
and perform most of the events, funds must be raised to insure that
the projects continue. The Young Eight depends on the financial support
of its friends - individuals, corporations and foundations like you.
You won’t want to miss the benefits of becoming a
friend – invitations to rehearsals, the latest CD and a
special dinner with the artists, as well as complimentary tickets to
our concerts. Most importantly, you’ll gain the satisfaction
of knowing that your generosity is helping sustain and nurture
one of the country’s most innovative string octets. All
contributions made towards The Young Eight are tax deductible. You may
also download a donation
form (Acrobat Reader
required)
to mail in your
donations.
In
addition, if you are interested in submitting a business advertisement
for our Summer Tour 2005 or Historically Black College Tour, you may
download an application form (Acrobat Reader required)
to mail
in your
donations. You won’t want to miss out on having
your business advertised around the United States in our program book!
